BALIWOSO is an agro and culture adventure camp located in Dusun Delod Umah, Desa Pengotan, Bangli, Bali. It lies in about 1,000 meters above sea level, 70 km North East of Ngurah Rai International Airport of Bali, 5 km South of Lake Batur, Kintamani, or 15 km north of Bangli, the capitol city of Bangli Regency.

The Camp was developed to promote conservation of nature and local culture and at the same time give sustainable benefits to local communities. Our guests are, therefore, encouraged to respect and adjust to the nature and local people, and accordingly must behave responsibly but still can have so much fun while staying in our specially designed Serengeti Tents.

In our programs and activities, you will see that we will urge you to interact with the so humble Pengotans through agro, culture and food adventure, and actively involved in their activities whenever possible. 

Our goal is to make our guests to be members of the Pengotans Family who have sensitivity towards, and appreciation of, local cultures and biodiversity.

ABOUT DESA PENGOTAN (PENGOTAN VILLAGE)

Pengotan is one among other villages in Bangli Regency, Bali, whose majority of the people leave in agriculture and raising cattle and other animals. Local people grow plants such as Jeruk Kintamani, Coffee, Chillies, King Grass, Sweet Potatoe or Purple Yam, Corn, and other vegetables.

The Pengotans are also strong believers of Hindu and inherited and practice their ancestors' cultures and rituals. This explains why there are many ceremonial events for the local people to conduct, and for visitors to enjoy.    

The Village is also well known with its "traditional village", the sacred three-eyed dragon Barong, mass wedding ceremony (Kawin Masal), mass burial services (Ngaben Masal), and other traditional and cultural activities.

Along with Bamboo and Albasia Forests in Pengotan, Eco-Trekking which incorporates agro, culture, and nature will be an unforgettable experience for those who love them.
